Olduvai Gorge

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

Tagzania started its way two and a half years ago. The first place we tagged was Olduvai Gorge, a place known as the cradle of humanity (Wikipedia).

The text written in this first point is quite beautiful and deserves to be remembered:

“It all began here. Humans stood up and walked. Now we have the Internet, but we are still territorial animals.”

And that´s why Tagzania was created, a project that helps us not to forget our Tanzanian origin, to remember our favorite places, where we walk through every day or those we would like to see in the future. Our places in the world.

Currently, Tagzania has surpassed 70,000 places tagged and still evolving, but without forgetting its inception, our territorial beginning.
